As Engineering Manager / Head of Mobile Development (f/m/d), you will be responsible for managing of 6 small developer teams and actively shape the leadership culture in the company in close collaboration with other managers. In this way, every manager contributes to an atmosphere in which we have fun, challenge ourselves, come up with new ideas and grow visions.

What you can do for us

You are responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of 10 direct reports.
You coach and develop 6 Value Stream Teamleads who each conduct regular feedback sessions, set clear goals, and oversee annual performance reviews for their team.
You establish a structure for roughly 50 people team of developers and QA engineers.
You handle escalations, complex performance issues, and provide guidance on difficult people management situations.
You provide strategic direction to the Value Stream Teamleads, ensuring their team management aligns with broader organizational goals.
You develop comprehensive career development frameworks and coach Value Stream Teamleads in implementing them.
You lead organizational transformations, including the transition towards cross-platform development approaches.
You communicate with various internal and external stakeholders on a technical and strategic level. This includes presenting complex concepts in an accessible manner and collaborating to inform key decisions.

What you should bring to the table

You have extensive engineering management experience with at least 8 direct reports.
You have substantial experience managing mobile development teams (Android, iOS, cross-platform).
You are able to evaluate technical decisions and provide input on technical hiring.
You have familiarity with QA processes and DevOps practices in mobile context.
You have experience managing managers or team leads.
You have a high level of quality awareness, enjoy solving problems and have a hands-on mentality.
You are open to new technologies and have a sound knowledge of system architectures.
You like to take responsibility for our products and actively contribute to the optimization of our processes and products.
You are able to communicate with your team in English and German (at least C1 level).

Für was wir dich in unserem Team brauchen

Du verantwortest die fachliche und disziplinarische Führung für aktuell 10 Direct Reports.
Du entwickelst fachlich 6 Value Stream Teamleads, führst regelmäßige Feedbackgespräche und legst die jährlichen Ziele, sowie Leistungsbeurteilungen für die einzelnen Teams fest.
Du etablierst eine Team-Struktur für ein Team aus circa 50 Mobile Developer und QA Engineers.
Du bist der interne Ansprechpartner für Fragen rund um Eskalations- und Personalmanagement in deinen Teams.
Du stimmst die Mobile Strategie mit den Value Stream Teamleads ab und stellst die Umsetzung der übergeordneten Unternehmensziele sicher.
Du verantwortest die Entwicklung von spezifische Kennzahlen im Mobile Development Umfeld für die Karriereentwicklung und begleitest die Value Stream Teamleads in dessen Umsetzung.
Du begleitest aktiv die Veränderung der Organisationsstruktur und die entwickelst plattformübergreifende Entwicklungsansätze.
Du kommunizierst mit verschiedenen internen und externen Stakeholder auf technischer und strategischer Ebene. Zu dem Aufgabengefeld gehört die Präsentation komplexer Themenfelder auf verständliche Weise und die Mitwirkung bei wichtigen strategischen Entscheidungen.

Wir suchen dich

Du besitzt mehrjährige Berufserfahrung als Engineering Manager mit mindestens 8 Direct Reports.
Du verfügst über umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Leitung von Mobile Development Teams (Android, iOS, plattformübergreifend).
Du bewertest Entscheidungen aus technischer Sicht und begleitest den Einstellungsprozess neuer Mitarbeiter:innen mit.
Du bist mit den gängigen QA-Prozessen und DevOps-Praktiken im mobilen Kontext vertraut.
Du bist erfahren in der Leitung von Managern oder Teamleitern.
Du besitzt ein ein hohes Qualitätsbewusstsein, bist stark in der Problemlösung und dich zeichnet eine hohe Hands-On Mentalität aus.
Du bist offen für neue Technologien und verfügst über fundierte Kenntnisse im Bereich Systemarchitekturen.
Du übernimmst die technische Verantwortung für unsere Produkte und trägst aktiv zur Optimierung unserer Prozesse und Produkte bei.
Du bist in der Lage, mit deinem Team in Englisch und Deutsch zu kommunizieren (mindestens C1-Niveau).
